Canada
Incentives for buying and installing electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) are offered in three provinces in Canada: British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec.
British Columbia
Rebates for homes: 75% of project costs up to a maximum of $750 per level 2 station
Closed as of July 6, 2018 due to high demand
Incentives for Residential Buildings: 75% of project costs up to a maximum of $4000 per level 2 station, limited to a maximum of 2 stations per property
Waitlisted as of July 12, 2018 due to high demand
Incentives for Workplaces: 50% of project costs up to a maximum of $4000 per level 2 station or $2000 per level 1 station
Waitlisted as of July 12, 2018 due to high demand
The Ontario government offers a 50% rebate for the purchase (up to a maximum of $500) of an EVSE and another 50% rebate for its installation (up to a maximum of $500).
Cancelled effective July 11, 2018. Charging stations purchased and/or installed before this date will be eligible to receive incentives if the application is submitted within 60 days of July 11
Quebec
Residential Charging Station Rebate:
- $350 for the purchase of an eligible charging station;
- $250 for the installation of the charging station and its power supply infrastructure.
“Branché au travail” Program:
75% rebate for the purchase and installation of EVSEs (up to a maximum of $5,000).
United States
Many states offer incentives for the EVSE purchase and installation. Here is a list of some of the incentives, but note that there may be more available.
